When you try to synchronize the offline address list on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 server in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, you may receive the following error message in the Sync Issues folder:

0x8004010F An object could not be found

If you try to send an e-mail message after you receive this error message, you may receive the following error message in Outlook 2003:

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004010F): 'The operation failed. An object could not be found.'

This problem can occur when you view properties in the Address Lists or Offline Address List in Exchange System Manager when the Offline Address List has an incorrect or missing address list. Other users have reported this error:

0x8004010F

The Solution:

Open the Exchange System Manager:
And go to the Recipients Menu, select Offline Address Lists and then choose Default Offline Address list. Then Right Click and select rebuild. If this doesnt solve your problem, other users have reported success using this alternative method.

Right click Default Offline Address Book and select Properties. Check to see if there are any Address Book entries inside (for example, Global List), if there arent any in there, put some in (click Add) and should solve the problem.
